GDM Habitat to commemorate build
On Oct. 2, Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity will celebrate the completion of 10 homes constructed during the nonprofit organization’s Habitat 20/10 build. A dedication ceremony is scheduled to take place at 10:30 a.m. between Southeast 10th and Southeast 11th streets and Maury Street in Des Moines. About 3,000 volunteers participated in the build-out that began on Sept. 13.
