General Mills uses immersive technology for college recruiting

Using a set of Oculus Rift goggles provided at a career fair this week, University of Minnesota students could take an immersive GoPro tour of the company’s Golden Valley campus. The students could literally picture themselves walking down the halls and even working out in the company gym. Leo Timmons, General Mills’ information technology director, said the company will be taking the technology on the road to other campuses, including Iowa State University.
