The Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization is asking for your opinion on how the agency will distribute $14 million in federal money that drew $22 million in requests. The 24 projects are described online and you can comment at the same site through Feb. 9. Comments will be shared at a public meeting from 4 to 6 p.m. Jan. 30 at the MPO office. After a subcommittee reviews staff scoring and makes recommendations, the projects will be considered by the MPO Policy Committee in March. The grants will be distributed in fiscal 2022.
