The award recognizes an outstanding NAWBO Iowa female business owner who has used creative initiatives to overcome obstacles, generate economic impact, develop a successful and sustainable business, and improve the community, according to a release. Barbara Crowley received the NAWBO Iowa Hall of Fame Legacy Award, and Karen Taylor received the NAWBO Iowa Advocate of the Year Award.
