Google’s social site could reach 400 million users

Google Inc. is adding 625,000 new users a day to the Google Plus social networking website, which may total 400 million members by the end of 2012, Bloomberg reported. An independent analysis by Paul Allen, founder of Ancestry.com Inc., said that the site has added almost a quarter of its total user base in December. Google Plus aims to challenge Facebook Inc., whose site has more than 800 million members.
