Grand Avenue at 63rd/First Street will close for months as crews widen the busy street
Des Moines Register: One of the busiest intersections in the Des Moines metro area will be closed for several months as crews work to improve the area for safer traffic flow. Starting Monday, Grand Avenue between the road known as both 63rd Street and First Street and the Wendy’s restaurant at about Second Street in West Des Moines will be closed to through traffic. The closure is expected to last through November, and businesses along that busy section of Grand will remain accessible.
