Grand Avenue closes tomorrow
Grand Avenue will be closed between 35th Street and 44th Street on Saturday morning for paving. The city of Des Moines Engineering Department and contractor Des Moines Asphalt and Paving Co. will close the section at 6 a.m., and reopen it later in the day when the new asphalt is ready for traffic.
Detour signs will direct westbound traffic to take 35th Street to Ingersoll Avenue, Polk Boulevard and then back to Grand. Eastbound through traffic will follow the reverse route.
