The Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers has invited three Greater Des Moines attorneys to be members: David Luginbill, a shareholder with Ahlers & Cooney P.C. in Des Moines; Scott Beattie, a partner in Peddicord, Wharton, Spencer, Hook, Barron & Wegman LLP in West Des Moines; and Michael McConville, a founding member of Coppola, McConville, Coppola, Carroll, Hockenberg & Scalise P.C. in West Des Moines. The other new members of the group are Henry Bevel III of the Waterloo law firm Swisher & Cohrt PLC and Michael Walker, an attorney with Hopkins and Huebner P.C. in Davenport. Membership in the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers is limited to 250 attorneys. Membership is by invitation only, with unanimous approval of a board of governors.
