74 wordsAll Latest News, Real Estate and DevelopmentGreater Des Moines construction employment increased by 500 jobs over the year that ended July 31, according to the Associated General Contractors of America. The trade group said in a news release that 168 of the 358 metropolitan areas tracked by the U.S. Labor Department reported gains in construction hiring. In Greater Des Moines, construction employment was 19,100, a 3 percent increase over the year. Statewide, construction companies added 6,000 workers over the year.
