Greater Des Moines foreclosures up, delinquencies down in September  
The rate of mortgage foreclosures increased in Greater Des Moines and delinquency rates dropped during September, real estate researcher CoreLogic Inc. said today. Foreclosure rates increased to 2.51 percent from 2.45 percent in September 2010, CoreLogic said. The rate of delinquent mortgages, those more than 90 days in arrears, decreased to 4.52 percent in September, down from 4.71 for the same period last year. The national foreclosure rate in September was 3.48 and the delinquency rate was 7.86 percent, CoreLogic said.
