Greystone Manufacturing to lay off 85
An Iowa manufacturer of pallets plans to lay off 85 people. Headquartered in Bettendorf, Greystone Manufacturing reported the layoff through the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act. The layoff will take place Oct. 29. Greystone Manufacturing produces pallets out of recycled materials and is one of the country’s largest post-industrial users of plastic, recycling 50 million pounds of plastic annually. Earlier this year, Greystone achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification, an international standard for quality management.
