Grimes council OKs site plans for 2 industrial developments

144 wordsAll Latest News, Real Estate and DevelopmentThe Grimes City Council on Tuesday approved the site plans for two projects that will add nearly 54,000 square feet of industrial space to the city.
Site plans were approved for an office/warehouse that is proposed to be built at 1250 S.E. 25th St. The fabrication facility for Seedorff Masonry Inc. and Architectural Wall Systems will include 33,557 square feet of warehouse space and 10,867 square feet of office space. An outdoor patio is planned on the northeast corner of the building; the development will include at least 51 parking spaces.
The Grimes council also approved a site plan for a 9,466-square-foot flex warehouse planned at 3800 S.E. Beisser Drive. The building is planned on the site where a similar building was destroyed by a fire in 2007, according to a city document. Penta Partners LLC, based in West Des Moines, owns the property.
