The Harkin Institute will host Roadmaps to Retirement 2025: Global Lessons and Paths Ahead from 1-3:30 p.m. Sept. 17 at the Harkin Institute, 2800 University Ave. The roundtable discussion will focus on the private retirement savings landscape in the U.S. and how it compares to other countries. It will also cover both retirement savings accumulation and retirement income options, current policies and regulations, and future goals. Retirement plans have received increased attention in 2025 with volatile economic conditions. “Globally, we are seeing a tsunami of regulatory concern and action over retirement income issues,” David Harris, managing director, TOR Financial, said in a press release. “While no one country has a perfect solution, there are valuable lessons that can help guide the U.S. in shaping future public policy.” An optional networking lunch will be held from noon-1 p.m. A livestream option will be available on YouTube.
