HCI Care Services & Visiting Nurse Services of Iowa has changed its name to EveryStep. In recent years, HCI Hospice Care Services, VNS Home Care, Visiting Nurse Services of Iowa, Kavanagh House on 56th Street, Amanda the Panda, and more than 30 other programs and services ­have come together under the organization. EveryStep serves more than 60,000 infants, children, young mothers, immigrants and refugees, families, and seniors in 47 Iowa counties with programs ranging from maternal and child health programs, home visits, family support, home health care and hospice, grief support, parent education, interpretation services, connection to community resources, flu immunizations, and other services. A celebration of the new name is planned for 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 15 at Bright Kavanagh House, 3000 Easton Blvd.
