Wells Fargo & Co. announced Tuesday that Mike Heid will lead its West Des Moines-based home mortgage division as the result of the announced retirement of Cara Heiden. The two held the position of co-president at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. The announcement came as the company unveiled a restructuring that had been anticipated as the result of its 2008 acquisition of Wachovia Corp, Wells Fargo said in a news release. Heid will report to Avid Modjtabai, who was named head of the company’s new consumer lending group, Wells Fargo Consumer Lending, which consists of the home mortgage, home equity, dealer services, educational financial services, consumer credit card, rewards and enhancements services and personal credit management businesses. Wells Fargo said Heiden will retire in the next few months.
