High school students encouraged to attend construction and careers expo
The Central Iowa Apprenticeship Coordinating Council will hold a Construction Careers & Education Expo for area students on April 13 at the Iron Workers Training Center, 2221 E. Ovid Ave.
High school students are encouraged to attend the expo to find out more about high-quality/high-paying skilled-trade careers in the construction industry.
Students will be allowed to rotate through eight to 10 stations with hands-on demonstrations of work typically done on a construction job site.
During the two-hour session, students will have the opportunity to ask questions about careers in the skilled trades and learn how they can begin today by planning and enrolling in the right courses to prepare for these great careers.
