Historian to lecture on the history of nuclear power
Environmental historian Amahia Mallea, a visiting assistant professor of history at Drake University, will speak on the history of domestic nuclear power and the 1979 Three Mile Island incident in Pennsylvania in a lecture on April 5 at Drake’s Meredith Hall, 2805 University Ave.
The lecture will precede a screening of the movie “The China Syndrome.” The free event will take place from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
