Hoiberg to speak at Grand View commencement
Fred Hoiberg, men’s basketball coach at Iowa State University, will be the keynote speaker at Grand View University’s 2011 commencement at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hy-Vee Hall in the Iowa Events Center. Hoiberg also will receive an honorary degree. His great-grandfather, the Rev. Carl Peter “C.P.” Hoiberg, will receive an honorary degree posthumously. He was president of Grand View from 1915 to 1926 and prior to that served on the faculty in the theology department.
