Hotsy Cleaning Systems, a family-owned pressure washer business, has announced the launch of a philanthropic initiative called Hotsy Helps. The initiative will focus on restoration projects across Central and eastern Iowa, including graffiti removal, park cleanups, monument washing and public space pressure washing. Hotsty is inviting community members to suggest future projects for the initiative. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, local governments, community organizations and businesses that maintain shared or public-use spaces. Projects will be selected based on their community impact, alignment with Hotsy’s mission and feasibility with Hotsy equipment. The company held its first community cleanup at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Adel on Aug. 29 where Hotsy employees spent the morning restoring and renewing public spaces at the cemetery, including the Fallen Heroes Monument, statues and ceremonial areas.
