The Affordable Housing Network in Cedar Rapids has been awarded a $100,000 grant from a Wells Fargo & Co. initiative to help stabilize and revitalize neighborhoods, the Cedar Rapids Gazette reported. The funds will be used to help restore six homes in an area that was hard hit by the 2008 flood. Funds also will be used for youth programs and summer cleanups, as well as programs that provide support to new homeowners. The Affordable Housing Network is one of 52 nonprofit organizations and government entities to receive awards from Wells Fargo’s Leading the Way Home Program Priority Markets Initiative.
