Iowa Community Development has allocated $767,000 to Hoyt Sherman Place Foundation for a building expansion and restoration. The previously announced project will add rehearsal space, dressing rooms, restrooms, laundry facilities, showers and rental space. The foundation calls it “The Next 100 Years” project. Iowa Community Development noted Hoyt Sherman’s job creation and its location in a low-income census tract.
