Des Moines performance venue Hoyt Sherman Place will be inducted into the Iowa Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame during a Labor Day weekend event in Arnolds Park.

Des Moines performance venue Hoyt Sherman Place will be inducted into the Iowa Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame during a Labor Day weekend event in Arnolds Park. Hoyt Sherman Place will receive the honor for its continued excellence in providing a venue for musicians and for its rich history of presenting music to the community. Hoyt Sherman Place was built in 1923 as a private facility but has since opened to the public. The facility is managed by VenuWorks.
