Hy-Vee showers bowl-bound Hawkeyes with yellow roses

This afternoon, Hy-Vee Inc. will deliver 4,300 yellow roses to the Stew and LeNore Hansen Football Performance Center to congratulate head coach Kirk Ferentz and his team on their recent Rose Bowl selection. More than 20 Hy-Vee employees prepared the flowers for delivery at the Hy-Vee East store in Iowa City. The effort was overseen by floral manager Laurel Hollopeter, who has helped create several Rose Bowl floats and who will be traveling this year to Pasadena, Calif., to work on the Dole Food Co. float.
