171 wordsAll Latest News, TransportationThe Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking public input on a location study on U.S. Highway 69 that looks at proposed road, bicycle and pedestrian alternatives from the Warren County line to Interstate Highway 80. According to a news release, the study is evaluating existing and future multimodal operations, as well as safety and reliability to balance the needs of motorists, pedestrians, bicyclists and transit customers. The Iowa DOT is offering two opportunities to provide input. One is a live online meeting scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 30. Participants should go to the DOT website and select the project and click on the live meeting link. There is also a listen at your own pace option that runs from Nov. 30 to Dec. 14. To participate in that option, go to the website and click on “U.S. 69 Meeting #2 Online.” That is a self-guided tour of the proposed alternatives and comments can be submitted anytime during that time period. The deadline to submit feedback is Dec. 14.
