IEDA backs projects in Grimes, Newton, Pella
The Iowa Economic Development Authority today backed $28 million in capital projects with various incentives including tax benefits. Daimler Trucks North America plans a new parts distribution center in Grimes with 43 new jobs; Graphic Packaging in Newton will create 31 jobs in an expansion at its carton plant; and Agile Manufacturing of Canada, which is involved in 3-D printing, plans a new facility in Pella employing 15. The state assistance assured some of the jobs at the three facilities will offer pay of at least $17.87 to $27.92 an hour. Read details on the state assistance.
