I’m gay and African-American. As a dad, I still have it easier than working moms
As both an African-American and an openly gay man in a leadership position, Grinnell College President Raynard Kington wrote for The Washington Post that he is held to a different standard in many ways. However, he recognizes the struggles women face as mothers trying to carve out careers and those deciding to be at home raising children.
