Insurance industry jobs up nearly 4 percent in past year
The U.S. insurance industry added 13,900 jobs in January, and in the past 12 months, employment in the insurance sector increased 3.86 percent, with more than 2.4 million workers added since January 2014, LifeHealthPro reported. The numbers are based on a release earlier this month from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. According to a press release by career site InsuranceJobs.com, the finance and insurance industries as a whole added a total of 22,400 jobs for January, “with the majority of job increases happening within the insurance carriers and related activities subsector.”
