Invest in She – Corridor participants announced
Six female entrepreneurs from across Iowa will have a chance June 14 to pitch their business plans and needs to several investors at Iowa Women Lead Change’s annual Invest In She – Corridor event.
Last week, IWLC announced that these six business owners will participate in the third annual event:
- Michelle Owens, Delve MIY.
- Allison Poss, Girls With Ideas.
- Katriece Ray, PartWhere.
- Emily Roberts, Western Wise LLC.
- Melissa Sheehy, Balanced Fitness & Health LLC.
- Lesley Triplett, Dumpling Darling.
During the event, each of these entrepreneurs will give a live pitch about her respective business and its needs to a panel of local investors. This year’s investors have committed to invest up to $40,000 in these women and their businesses.
Investors include:
- Heidi Parkhurst, vice president of wealth management and senior resident director, Merrill Lynch.
- Lynn Schreder, owner, KHI Solutions, and representative of the Iowa chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners.
- Gilda and Barry Boyer, business owners and entrepreneurs.
- Kevin Collins, Nyemaster Goode PLC.
- Ravi Patel, president of Hawkeye Hotels.
Members of the public can also purchase tickets to the event. Tickets are $50 and are available online.
