Steve Goodenow, CEO and chairman of Bank Midwest in Spirit Lake, has been elected chairman of board of the Iowa Bankers Association. He and other new officers and directors will assume their roles during the association’s annual convention Sept. 16-18 in Des Moines. Among Central Iowa bankers elected to new positions are: Tom Pohlman, president of Ames National Corp. in Ames, chairman-elect; Tim Wolf, president and CEO of State Savings Bank in West Des Moines, director; and Mike Helak, regional president of U.S. Bank in Des Moines, director.
