Iowa Business Hall of Fame nominations being accepted
Nominations for the Iowa Business Hall of Fame class of 2021 are now being accepted, with a Dec. 3 deadline for submissions. Nominations can be submitted by a member of the Greater Des Moines Committee or other Iowa business leaders. Nomination forms can be found on the Iowa Business Hall of Fame website. The Hall of Fame, founded by the Greater Des Moines Committee in 1975, honors the achievements of Iowans who have made outstanding contributions to Iowa’s business climate. Inductees are selected on merit rather than endorsement, and are chosen based on business leadership, community development impact, community volunteerism and leadership, strategic leadership and recognition by their peers as a business leader, and business ethics. The Iowa Business Hall of Fame induction ceremony is scheduled for May 4, 2022, at the Meadows Events and Conference Center at Prairie Meadows in Altoona. Officials with the Greater Des Moines Partnership said that the timing of nominations and the ceremony shifted slightly because of the coronavirus pandemic and that the new schedule will be continued in the future.
