The Iowa Clinic P.C. announced today that it plans to build a new 53,000-square-foot clinic in Ankeny.

The clinic, to be constructed at the southeast corner of State Street and Oralabor Road, will house a number of specialists, including internal medicine, family medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, mammography, podiatry, physical therapy, ear-nose-throat, surgery, gastroenterology, cardiovascular services and pulmonary medicine.

The $14 million facility, expected to be completed in the fall of 2013, was designed by OPN Architects Inc. and will be constructed by Ryan Companiess US Inc. 

A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for Oct. 30 at 4 p.m. at the site, located at 1410 S.W. Tradition Drive.

The Iowa Clinic is the state’s largest physician-owned multispecialty group.
