The Iowa Council of Foundations, a statewide membership association of grant-making foundations, announced that community foundations in Iowa reported $100 million in total asset growth between June 2010 and June 2011.  The collective assets of Iowa community foundations grew to approximately $517.6 million in June 2011, up 24 percent from $417.6 million in June 2010. Increased visibility and continued implementation of the Endow Iowa Tax Credit and County Endowment Fund programs have contributed to the growth, said Angela Dethlefs-Trettin, the council’s executive director.
