The Iowa Dental Association announced Council Bluffs dentist Dr. Ryan Hajek was installed as its 162nd president at the association’s annual session in Des Moines on May 7. Hajek is co-owner of My Pediatric Dentist, a clinic in Council Bluffs that provides specialized care for children. Dr. Shawn Hedlund of Iowa City was named the new president-elect. The association also elected three new trustees. Hajek received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry, and is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
