Iowa DOT to receive emergency money following flooding
U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood announced yesterday he is making $2 million in quick-release emergency money available to the Iowa Department of Transportation to reimburse the state for work done on highways following recent flooding.
The money will be used to reimburse Iowa for the cost of controlling traffic flow, shoring up roads and bridges and other measures taken to prevent further damage.
