Iowa economy perked up in June
The Iowa Leading Indicators Index, a measure of the state economy that is compiled each month by the Iowa Department of Revenue, rose to 105.7 in June from 105.6 in May, according to a release. A separate measure of the proportion of index components that showed positive gains also increased last month, to 50 from 31.3 in May. Residential building permits, diesel fuel consumption and a measure of farm commodity prices have increased over the past six months. Click here for the complete report.
