The Iowa Department of Education recently awarded over $1.7 million in competitive grants to 20 Iowa school districts, including the districts of Johnston, Waukee and Indianola, to align secondary career and technical education programs with student attainment of industry-recognized credentials. The Credentials to Careers grant awards will support high school students earning credentials with labor market value. The grants, which will be distributed this spring for district implementation during the 2024-2025 school year, can be used on exam fees, equipment and curriculum enhancements. To see the full list of recipients, visit the Iowa Department of Education’s website.
