International investor and hedge fund manager Jim Rogers will be the keynote speaker at Peoples Co.’s annual Land Investment Expo, scheduled for Jan. 18 in West Des Moines.

Rogers and George Soros managed to achieve a 4,000 percent return on trades they made through the Quantum Fund they co-founded in 1970. He operates out of Singapore these days and offers advice on a variety of asset classes.

Rogers is considered something of a guru among land sellers. The Land Investment Expo typically draws bankers, farmers, real estate agents, investors and developers from across the country.
