Iowa film production companies Outpost 515 and Rabid Artists announced they have signed actor Ron Lester (Billy Bob from “Varsity Blues”) to play the lead role in a new dark comedy film short that will begin production soon in Greater Des Moines. Lester, who has also appeared in “Not Another Teen Movie,” has also had roles on “Popular” and several other teen television programs. In the film “I Think My Mother’s Trying to Kill Me,” he will portray a 35-year-old man-child who refuses to get a job and move out of his mother’s house.
