The Iowa Healthiest State Initiative, in partnership with the Physical Activity Alliance, has launched the CEO Pledge for Physical Activity, a statewide campaign encouraging leaders to make workplaces more movement friendly. CEOs, executives and business leaders across Iowa are invited to sign the pledge and commit to strategies that help employees stay active and healthy. The pledge was unveiled Wednesday during the 15th Annual Healthiest State Walk. “When so much of our time is spent at work, it’s more important than ever for workplaces to prioritize employee well-being and accommodate physical activity,” Iowa Healthiest State Initiative executive director, Jami Haberl, said in a prepared statement. “Workplaces can set the tone and have a profound impact in the state.
