Jeff Arens, vice president of Schuster Co. in Le Mars, has been elected chairman of the board for the Iowa Motor Truck Association for 2026. He was sworn in during the association’s Annual Management Conference in Des Moines. With more than two decades in the trucking industry, Arens said his priorities will include strengthening the association’s advocacy efforts, promoting workforce development to attract and retain drivers and industry professionals, and advancing the use of technology, safety innovations and data tools to maintain competitiveness among Iowa carriers. “IMTA has been, and continues to be, an essential voice for this industry,” Arens said in a prepared statement. “For 83 years, this association has proven that when we stand together, our story is heard, our ideas are respected, and our actions make a difference. I am humbled to serve in this role, and I look forward to building on the legacy of integrity and service that defines IMTA.”
