Iowa rises in use of solar power
Iowa tops most of its Midwestern neighbors in installed solar power, according to data released by the Energy Information Administration and reported by the Iowa Environmental Council. The state trails the nation’s leaders, though. Between September 2014 and September 2015, Iowa’s solar capacity rose to 24.3 megawatts from 16.8 megawatts. Missouri was far above Iowa at 92.4 megawatts while Minnesota trailed at 17.6.
