The Iowa Solar Energy Trade Association joined the Solar Energy Industries Association as an official state affiliate, the 20th SEIA affiliate, the state association announced today. According to ISETA, Iowa installed 162 megawatts of new solar capacity in 2020, and the industry employs 770 Iowans in at least 50 solar companies. The state ranks 35th in installed solar capacity within the U.S., but state association projects that ranking to fall to 42nd in the next five years without state policy changes.
