Iowa State selects Nolan to lead veterinary school
Iowa State University has selected Lisa Nolan as dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine. Executive Vice President and Provost Elizabeth Hoffman appointed Nolan following an eight-month nationwide search. Nolan succeeds Dr. John Thomson, who is retiring as dean but will remain on the ISU faculty, focusing on outcomes-based medicine and best production animal practices. Nolan joined the ISU faculty in 2003 as professor and chair of veterinary microbiology and preventive medicine. The appointment is effective Jan. 15.
