Iowa Women’s Foundation distributes $190,000 in 2024 grant funding

184 wordsAll Latest News, Nonprofits and PhilanthropyThe Iowa Women’s Foundation announced grant funds to 13 organizations from across Iowa as part of the foundation’s longstanding mission to improve the lives of Iowa women and girls by funding programs to address evidence-based barriers to their economic self-sufficiency. Awards were given at several events throughout the state. Grantees are organizations working to address one of the six primary barriers to economic self-sufficiency for women and girls, with programs at all stages of planning and development. The Iowa Women’s Foundation awarded eight Core Grants totaling $150,000 and five Community Childcare Solutions (CCCS) Grants totaling $40,000.

- St. Mark Youth Enrichment – Dubuque

- Young Women’s Resource Center – Central Iowa
2024 CCCS Grant recipients:
- Hawkeye Community College Foundation – Cedar Valley
- Lil Vikes Child Care – Avoca
- Little Charger Early Learning Center – Guthrie Center
- Little Knights Learning Center – La Porte City
- Wayland Area Childcare Organization – Wayland
