Iowa Workforce Development and the Iowa Economic Development Authority are partnering to conduct a laborshed study across 10 counties, including communities in the Greater Des Moines area. The annual study takes about six months and targets a separate half of the state each year, said Katie Lippold, a labor market economist at IWD. The study will target cities with the largest employment centers in Polk, Boone, Story, Marshall, Tama, Dallas, Jasper, Poweshiek, Madison and Warren counties.
