Iowans ‘Light It Up Blue’ for autism awareness
More than 500 structures in about 120 U.S. cities will be illuminated to highlight “Light It Up Blue,” Autism Speaks’ global campaign to celebrate World Autism Awareness Day and to help raise awareness of autism as a growing public health crisis. The second annual event presented will feature the lighting of iconic buildings such as the Empire State Building in New York City and the Christ the Redeemer Statue in Brazil, as well as the Iowa state Capitol.
