ISU College of Design honors Deb and Bob Pulver with Christian Petersen Design Award

168 wordsAll Latest News, Arts and CultureDeb and the late Bob Pulver are recipients of the 2022 Christian Petersen Design Award presented by the Iowa State University College of Design. The award was established in 1980 and is given annually to alumni, staff and friends of the university for distinguished work that advances the design and art profession. Deb and Bob believed in giving back to their community and contributed their time, talent and treasure to groups including Manhattan College, Iowa State Fair Blue Ribbon Foundation and Ronald McDonald House. In 2011, Deb Pulver founded Strands of Strength, a nonprofit organization that provides new wigs free of charge to cancer patients in financial need who suffer hair loss due to treatment; this has helped more than 4,000 Iowans. In 2010, the Pulvers established the Debra L. Furman Pulver and Robert G. Pulver Study Abroad Scholarship, awarded annually to three interior design students.
