Java Joe’s coffeehouse owners Tim and Amy Brehm plan to buy the German Bank Building for $612,000 from Premier Bank to “create a micro-roast coffee facility,” the Dubuque Telegraph-Herald reported. The sale is set to close Sept. 14. The Brehms grew up in Dubuque and wanted to open a business there. In addition to three Java Joe’s locations in the Des Moines area, the couple also owns CJ’s Bagel Basket & Big Bowl Salad Company in Ankeny.
