Jester Park Nature Center lands REAP grant
Polk County’s Jester Park Nature Center has won a $114,205 state grant for an outdoor streamscape. The area will feature trails, an outdoor plaza, nature features and a meandering waterway that will have headwaters, braided streams and wetland areas. The streamscape will treat water from the roof and parking lots. The grant was among $1.29 million approved by the state Natural Resource Commission through the Resource Enhancement and Protection Program.
