UnityPoint Health – John Stoddard Cancer Center announced the opening of a new medical oncology and hematology clinic, as well as expanded chemotherapy infusion services. The clinic will open Sept. 2. The new clinic and expanded infusion services will be located in the John Stoddard Cancer Center at 1221 Pleasant St. in Des Moines. The expansion adds three medical oncologists and two nurse practitioners, aiming to enhance access to specialized cancer care for Central Iowa residents. “This [expansion] is a natural and necessary progression for Stoddard Cancer Center, allowing us to continue providing the full continuum of care in one convenient, centralized location,” Jon Rozenfeld, UnityPoint Health Des Moines market president, said in a prepared statement.
